Last days in Rezekne: 100% Latgalian (Part I)

Amazing place to be suprise and getting caught for the enchanted of latgalian traditional cuisine and handicraft
We are talking about Mols!!!

Mols, mākslas salons – bārs, this is meanning pub and art saloon, is located in Latgales iela 22/24 (Latgale Street) in the heart of Latgale, Rēzekne!!!

“Mōls” is exclusive with the dishes being cooked according to the ancient Latgalian recipes.
The interior lets to feel the antiquity and cosiness: the fire-place, ceramic dishes, and paintings on the walls and a very friendly rabbit." (rezekne.lv)
 

In our last days in Rezekne, we spent a nice morning in Mols, as you can see! 



In the entrance to Mols, you can see the flag of Latgale region, in the historical Latgale street with the characteristic red bricks buildings.

Inside Mols you can find a nice shop where you can buy many creations made by locals crafters. The stars of this beautiful crafts are the wool socks and the famous triangle winter gloves, they are masterpieces!
 

Rēzekne is an important location for those interested in Latvian pottery. Latgalia’s pottery masters are particularly known for using the techniques of their forebears to create brightly colored pottery in a range of shapes. Also, Latgale black ceramics are well known....

Intenational Youth Camp "Europe, all inclusive" in Shierke Baude, Germany

In a beautiful village in the mountains, Schierke (Germany), participants from Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and, of course, Germany, all together to participated in the Intenational Youth Camp in Shierker Baude, in the district of Harz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It tooks place  from 27 July till 10 August 2014. The topic of the camp was "Europe, all inclusive".

I am really happy to have been participant in the camp. We had working groups of Graffiti, Photography, Timeline, Music, Healthy lifestyle, Crafts, simulation of conference in the European Parlament, discussion with politicians about results, coffe with seniors, study trips, interesting and funny national evenigs,cliff walk and climbing, excursions Wernigerode, Magdeburg, Leipzig, Quedlinburg, Brocken Mountain.

Thank you to the super Latvian team: Sarmite, Anna, Nikolav, Alise, Elizabete, Marta Madara, Kristiana, Anas (volunteer fron Jordan) and our fantastics leaders Iveta and Ilze!!!
I will never forget our team singing the Daina (traditional Latvian song) "Bedu manu lielu bedu": Ram-tai ram-tai ra-di-ri-di-ri-di ram-tai ri-di ra-la-la

I have a lot of memories to tell you and show you! So in another post I will continue :)
