Snowing in Rezekne!! / Nevada en Rezekne // By Carmen Encuentra //

¡Ya ha llegado la nieve por fin! Y es que ya teníamos ganas de que nevara, porque ya que estamos en Letonia es interesante vivir el invierno con nieve a temperaturas extremas de -25ºC... 

Cuando se acercaba el invierno todo el mundo nos decía "a ver como sobrevives en invierno, porque ¿en españa tenéis nieve?" claro, se piensan que solo tenemos sol ;).

Normalmente en Rezekne nieva mucho, pero este año nieve vamos a ver muy poca.

Snow is here! we were looking forward to see snow, because if we are living one year in Latvia, it is interesting live a winter with extreme temperature with weeks -25ºC.

When winterwas approaching, everybody told us "Let's see how you will survive in winter, because in Spain do you have snow?They think that we only have sun.

Usually in Rezekne it snow a lot, going down the sidewalk and you have a meter of snow on both sides, but not this year.

Esta foto me encanta, la hice desde la terraza de una de las torres desde mi centro juvenil Zeimuls y la envié a la website de Rezekne, porque la gente puede enviar sus fotos y luego eligen una foto de la semana, y publicaron esta foto en la web :).

Se puede ver la colina con las ruinas del castillo y la catedral de Jesús. 

I love this photo, I took it from the terrace of one of the towers from my Youth Center Zeimuls and I sent it to the website of Rezekne, because people can submit their photos and then they choose the photo of the week, and they posted this photo on the web :).

Es nuestro primer invierno en Letonia y esta siendo unusualmente cálido y el invierno ha empezado muy tarde, en Diciembre no tuvimos nieve...

El invierno suele empezar a principios de Noviembre y caen las primeras nevadas y la nieve puee continuar hasta el mes de Mayo.

In our first winter living in Latvia is being unusually warm winter and winter has started late, in December at Christmas hadn't snowed!!  

Usually it starts snow at the beggining of November and snow continue until May.
In this first snowfall in Rezekne everything looks so beautiful, all white, look at the photos.
